"huh?... whoa!" The elf leaps off the ground from the giant cat and starts to go flying.

Bern snaps his arm out and stops the chair in mid flight and stopping the elf to a hault as he grabs his chair. "Would't want your weapons to get loose now! That was very nice Night." Bern looks down at night and winks at her showing that he was laughing on the inside.

"Whoa! Hey Night be nice!"

"OK OK you got your revenge."

"Thanks Bernhard! So uhh Riki Lightning and light? I got plenty of them! Here you go!" Marbles reaches down from the hieght hes being raised at and gives riki her orbs. "You can set me down Bern."

"Certainly!" Bern sets the shaken elf on the ground then folds his arms across his chest. He looks around and feels some tension between Tor and Marbles the newcomer.

"Thanks, Marbles. You're a real sweet guy." Lost in examination, she speaks without thinking. "If there's anything I can do to repay ya, just ask."

Nightbringer, apparently not yet satisfied, watches Marbles with narrow eyes, waiting and planning her next attack.

After hearing that Marbles instantly goes off into a daydream. Snapping out of it his says... "Anything? Well i'll have to give that some thought my angel."

"What are you planning Night?" Dom says in a whisper.

"You do that. These are really awesome, I'll give ya whatever ya want. What do they do exactly?"

Night side glances at Dominic. "Nothing. What makes you think I am planning something?"

" Well the light orbs basically are like a flash-bang grenade. The lightning orb shoots lightning in a ring around the oppenent."

"I know you are Night! Well im gonna go get a drink." Dom walks over to the bar and grabs a mountain of alcohol and brings it over and shoves some in Marbles face. Dom immediately starts drinking. "Here you go buddy! Here Bern try some! I haven't had a drink in a long time!"

"Why not! Got nothing better to do!" Bern grabs a beer and chugs it in two gulps. "Thats some good stuff!"

Riki grins and carefully places the orbs in a bag she carries with her. "These'll come in handy next time I'm in a tight spot." "Thanks again, Marbles. You really helped me out there!"

Nightbringer growls, seeing Dominic drinking, and starts to slink away.

Awhile passes and the three drink till there hearts content. They begin to feel the affects of the drinks.

"Whooo!!! We need sum musik... Man! YEAH!!!. You got a... marble for the.. musik.. uhh marbles.... HAHAHA. HEY wheres kitty-night?" Stumbling over his words Dom takes a seat to prevent from falling over.

"Hey Hot stuff! Woulds you like to see my marbles! HAHAHA!" Marbles thinks hes talking to riki but in fact is talking to a coat rack. Afterward falling over and almost hitting his head.

Being used to drinking Bern doesn't show any outer affects from the drinks. "Complete Morons! Right Riki?"

"Ah... Well half-dragon'd be more accurate; the scales, wings and tail are really the only persistantly draconic aspects I have now." Just for idle demonstration purposes, Pax slips one of those thick leather gloves from his digits to reveal (rather dainty) fingers lined with sleek golden scales. "But then, that's not terribly important, is it..." He flashes a pointy smile and, with a narrow flute of crimson merlot cupped in his glove-free hand, Pax returns to his sofa and Machiavelli's The Prince.

"Yes, they are...very much so!" Riki sadly shakes her head and sits down across from Tor. "I'm getting the off-feeling that you're not overly fond of Marbles."

Nightbringer snarls from under a table. "I'm down here."

it's not so much a general dislike, but more of a seething hatred towards the entire elven race. But that's not a tale for young ears. Or even something that I like to bring up. *cough* But, he seems to be getting on nicely with you if I say so myself.

He snickers to himself again and keeps a wary eye on the elf while drinking

Marbles gets off the floors and stumbles to the table where the big cat was hiding. He reaches under to attempt to dance with the cat. "Here kitty.... kitty...kitty!"

"Thats not such a good idea Marbles."

Dom on the other hand jumps up on the table and "dances" to the music in his head and starts humming the tune.

Bunch of tree-hugging, namby-pamby pointy-eared freaks. *cough* Anyway... the short story is that I wasn't in the best of shapes, half way through a job an' all, and the elves didn't want to let me in. There I was, bleeding all over the shop, but nooo... 'You can't come in! You'll get that bloody dragon burning down our precious homes! And the trees! Won't somebody think of the trees!' Whine, whine, whine and at the end of it, the dragon finds me and knocks 12 bells out of me, but our elven friends are too worried about their own skins to even think of helping me.

Couple of months later, when they'dall forgotten, I made a lucrative deal with a logging company.

There's been a little bit of emnity between me and ooh... all the elven race since then.

He does have the decency to look a little embarrassed, but it passes quickly as he swigs again from the beer

Bern proves to be right, of course. With the stinging taunt of the dance incident rattling inside her, Nightbringer launches her sleek feline body sliding like black oil from the table. Her long, diamond sharp claws peirce into Marble's chest as she barrels him over onto his back and snarls menacingly into his face, fangs inches away from his nose.

Riki stares at Tor in a slightly disbelieving way. "Sounds more like something Hayate would do then you, Tor."

Being unable to feel any pain from to many beers, he laughs and pats Night on the head. "Good kitty! Your it!"

"Don't kill him Night! Then we wont have anything to do later!"

Dom stills dances and laughs hystarically((sp)).

"Ok Marbles is getting annoying so im gonna sober him up." Bern takes Marbles by the shirt and carries him outside looking for a barrel of water.

"Wheeeeeee!"

"Dee Dum Dee Dum Dum Dee DEE! Huh? Hello Kitty-Night!" Dom reaches down and pats Night on the head. Then continues to dance.

By the look of things, Riki hurt Tor's feelings, and he voices his opinion in a sulky tone

Just because I'm incredibly chaotic and neutral doesn't mean that I don't form opinions. I've formed one in my whole life... well... and the dragon one, I guess. Oh... and that one. Three. People always think I'm so nice and harmless, they never consider things like my name and the fact I've got me sword.

"Whoa!" A loud crash is heard through out the cafe as Dom lands flat on his back when he fell off the table. Sobering him up a bit he stands and "attacks" Night playfully.

"That ought to take care of it!" Bern comes back in and brushes the dirt off him hands. He then sits in a chair and stares at the door, waiting.

She's glad to see him a little more sober, and after messing around for a moment or two longer, she jumps away, shakes herself from head to tail, and curls up comfortably on the couch, snoozing.

Riki watches Bern, wondering what had happened. "Uh...where's Marbles?"

The door slams open and a very soggy elf slides into the Tri links, the water in his boots are squishing around. He walks towards the giant gargoyle and stops, he then points a drippy finger at Bern. "I hate you! I shall have my revenge Bern!" He sloshes over to a seat and rings out the excess water.

"Could have been worse! I could have made you swim in mud!" Bern then begins to chuckle and looks over at Riki ad Tor.

"Well...it's just not really all that much like you, Tor. You're usually a pretty fun-loving guy, easy going and whatnot." Riki sees Marbles and grins, amused at the elf's sodden appearance. Nightbringer's purring is heard plainly, although she keeps up the prescene of sleeping.

Riki, I've been an adventurer and dragonslayer literally for millenia. I've surfed on lava, battled through fortresses of the dead, became close friends with the God of Death for a time, I once created a solar system by accident, and have generally seen more weird **** that someone who's spent all of their life being force-fed LSD. Why else would I be so happy and easy going? There's very little I haven't seen or done. So yeah. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

With a little grin, he swings from the beer again and tips the chair back toa sitting position

It sounds like you've seen everything and learned a lot, but you're still as ignorant as any other person." Riki's voice is cold and passionate. Stiffly, she pours herself a new glass and stares at Toryu, waiting for his reaction. She's been drinking all night, yet her eyes are startlingly clear and sober. Apparently, it takes a lot to get a demon drunk.

Nightbringer sits next to Dominic and points out that elves should not be drunken.

"Yes... im mean NO! Damn you!" Having no patience with the gargoyle, he rises and looks for other company to entertain him. He notices a newomer has arrived at the beaten up cafe and strolls over to him. "Hello friend! Whats your business in the Tri-Links cafe?"

"Jeez, elves can't take a joke can they?" Bern gets up and hikes over to Dominic who was laying around lazily with night. "Having fun Dom?"

"Huh? Oh yeah.... sure. How about you eh?"

The Dark Elf pours his wine and takes a sip, then kindly acknowledges the gargoyle's presence. "I'm a traveller of sorts. I've heard many rumors of this land and want to seek the answeres out for myself. And you would be...?"

First, your assertation about 'all your years on this planet' is clearly wrong, but that's irrelevant.
But, generally, I try to stay out of the way of any of them, and expect them to return the favour. I'm aware that all this prejudice leads to bad things, but I'm just one man. I prefer not to spread my own opinions around to incite others.All in all, I feel I've been rather responsible. Just don't ask me to like them.

He finally finishes the bottle and chucks it behind him, before grabbing a second one from in his pack.

I've not seen everything, far from it. But I like to think I'm getting close. We all need something to keep us going. Hayate's got his revenge, I've got wanderlust. It's all good.

"Hey marbles! Come here for a second! I got a proposition for you!" Bern waves over marbles and waits patiently for the aknowledgement.

"My name is Marbles, im an elf and a spell conqueror." Marble looks over to bern and turns back to the newcomer. "I apologize for the short greeting but I have important business to attend to. We shall continue our conversation at another time." Marbles stands and quickly walks over to Bern. They start whispering and talking about how much money each of them has. They continue to chatter and put out there hands and shake on some agreement. They then stand and bid farewell to everyone and leave Tri-Links.

"I wonder where they are going. What do you think Night?"
